Coachella has been rocking for a solid 17 years now. That’s nearly two decades of flower crowns, face paint, henna tattoos, cutoffs, vintage boots, gladiators and boho braids.
For many people, “festival beauty” consists only of sunscreen — and lots of it. But, all of you who are beauty-obsessed will take any opportunity to test-drive some over-the-top makeup. And, festival season is the perfect time to get a little bold in the cosmetics department.

This year, glitter makeup — especially gold glitter makes a big statement. Concentrating glitter around the eyes gives any festival attendee the look of a war maiden just home from a battle.

Bindis are always welcome at music festivals. However, I believe that this year’s trends of making the bindi the focus of the makeup look is one of the best ideas. Pair the look with a flawless face and groomed eyebrows for an elegant and bohemian festival look.

Less is definitely more when it comes to festival makeup looks. I’m a big fan of the precise warpaint in a complementary color to the skin tone or in a bold colors, like in the photographs below. And keeping the rest of the face natural allows you to truly enjoy the small touches!
